How to make three quotes comparable

The most common reason metal building quotes look wildly different is that they are not for the same building. Before you send anything out, pin down these:

Geometry. Width, length, eave height, and roof pitch. A quote at a 22 ft eave against one at 24 ft is not a price comparison.
Design loads. Wind speed, ground snow, seismic design category, and the code edition your jurisdiction has actually adopted. Look yours up.
What is in the package. Panels, trim, gutters, insulation, framed openings, and anchor bolts are all sometimes in and sometimes out.
Who erects it. Package price and installed price differ by roughly 55 to 90 percent. Make sure you know which one you are reading.
Freight. Quoted to the site or to the nearest terminal changes the number more than most people expect.
